Starlink first responder discount: there isn’t one
Updated 2026-08-03
Fire, police and EMS personnel pay the same for Starlink as everyone else at their address. No first responder discount exists on hardware or service, despite what several discount blogs claim. Starlink’s own site lists no such program.
Some links on this page are referral links. If you sign up through them we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect the data shown or the order in which providers are listed.

What first responders can actually use
The referral free month applies to anyone ordering a Residential or Roam plan through an existing customer’s link — one month of standard service, credited 31 days after activation.
Agencies are different from individuals: emergency services organisations can talk to SpaceX about deployments and priority service, but that is procurement, not a personal discount.
Program facts on this page were read from Starlink Help Center: How do I refer a friend to Starlink?, Starlink Help Center: How do I use a referral link? and Starlink: Referrals on 2026-08-03. Starlink can change its programs at any time — the linked pages are always the authority.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Starlink discount through GOVX or ID.me?
Not for Starlink kits or service. GOVX listings cover third-party accessories like mounts, not Starlink’s own products.
