Starlink Black Friday: what history shows
Updated 2026-08-03
Black Friday is the one time of year Starlink hardware reliably gets cheaper. In 2025 the Mini kit dropped to around $229–299 at Best Buy and Home Depot, and Starlink itself has discounted directly in earlier years. There is a catch the deal posts never mention.
Some links on this page are referral links. If you sign up through them we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not affect the data shown or the order in which providers are listed.

The catch: retail kits lose the referral month
Referral credits are only issued when the kit is bought directly on starlink.com. A retailer’s Black Friday kit saves you money up front but permanently disqualifies the order from the referral month — for you and for whoever would have referred you.
How to choose
- Retailer deal beats referral when the hardware cut is larger than a month of standard service in your country.
- Direct order through a referral link wins when starlink.com runs its own promotion — those stack with the referral month.
- Check starlink.com for your address first: regional direct promos sometimes match retail pricing anyway.

Frequently asked questions
Does Starlink itself run Black Friday sales?
Some years, yes — direct hardware discounts have appeared around November, and regional promotions run year-round on starlink.com. Retailer cuts are the more consistent pattern.
